Chancellor’s Fellow in Geophysical Fluid Mechanics

I am interested in the fluid mechanics of natural phenomena at a geophysical scale, ranging from buoyancy driven flow to internal and surface gravity waves. My approach is theoretical complemented by numerical simulations and experiments. My DPhil thesis (University of Oxford, 2015) examined the mean flows induced by surface, internal and interfacial waves. I have an ongoing side interest in stochastic processes and dynamic optimisation in natural resource and climate economics.
